We built more life together.
Joe built flexibility through his work as a general contractor. Ashley runs our home and homeschools our kids. We stopped treating work, learning, movement and family life as completely separate worlds.

JOE, ASHLEY AND OUR FOUR KIDS
We are documenting what it looks like to build a healthier, more connected and purpose-driven life together—in the middle of ordinary work, mistakes, repair, training, adventure and change.
You cannot see the full truth of another family through a highlight Reel. You do not know what their choices cost, whether their marriage is connected, whether their children feel known or whether the life they built is even making them whole.
Our story is not a formula. It is evidence that families can stop drifting, tell the truth about what their current life is producing and begin building differently.
Follow the real-life story →THE LIFE WE WERE TOLD TO BUILD
Like a lot of families, we knew how easy it was to keep adding: work, expenses, activities, convenience and more things to manage. Then health, marriage, faith and real connection were expected to fit into whatever time and energy remained.
We did not want to spend our life hurrying through the people and experiences that mattered most. We had to stop asking how to fit everything in and start asking what kind of life and family we were actually trying to build.
WHAT CHANGED
This was not one dramatic decision. It has been about ten years of gradually changing how we work, spend, learn, train, recover and use our time.
Joe built flexibility through his work as a general contractor. Ashley runs our home and homeschools our kids. We stopped treating work, learning, movement and family life as completely separate worlds.
Our kids participate in meals, projects, training, travel, responsibility and contribution. They do not need constant entertainment. They need meaningful places to practice becoming capable.
We cannot ask our kids to practice emotional control, responsibility and repair while excusing ourselves. We lead, make mistakes, apologize, repair and keep practicing beside them.
Health, connection, faith, meaningful work, contribution and adventure are not rewards for someday. We are learning to build them into ordinary life now.
WHY WE SHARE IT
We share the real process because information is rarely the missing piece. Families need to see what the choices, mistakes, conversations and repairs look like inside ordinary life.
We are not asking you to copy our schedule, work or family structure. We want our story to help you tell the truth about what your current life is producing—and give you the courage and practical tools to build the family life you actually want.
